We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team in the Miami - Fort Lauderdale, Fl. area!

As an integral part of the Quality Assurance team, the Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) is responsible for conducting deep dive analysis of large amounts of data and using the findings to drive organizational change.  The incumbent is responsible for maximizing the capabilities of Speech Analytics software to ensure USG&E employees and external vendors are in compliance with applicable federal and state rules and regulations related to the marketing of energy in a telemarketing environment.


Key Responsibilities


UTILIZE various analytical tools and techniques to evaluate business problems and formulate solutions.


SUPPORT internal clients with requirements definition, project scope and report planning.


COMPILE information from multiple sources, understand key performance indicators and spot trends and patterns.


GENERATE comprehensive reports and perform regular and ad-hoc analysis of scorecards.


DELIVER actionable business insights and solutions based on thorough data analysis.


PARTICIPATE in the development of process improvements and assess pre and post implementation change.


COLLABORATE with various teams:  IT, sales & marketing, product development, training and compliance.


DELIVER detailed and summarized analysis of findings and provide recommendations toward strategic decision making.


CRAFT documentation including process maps, diagrams, manuals, charters and scopes.


EDUCATE various departments on behaviors contributing to a positive impact within their unit vs. negative trends.


MAINTAIN existing QA resource databases.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.  The successful candidate will have strong listening skills and the ability to interpret conversations and emotional content.  He/she will be able to prepare concise compelling and objective feedback, communications and reports.


Must be a confident team player who is able to work well with others, mentor new team members and provide constructive feedback.


Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels within the organization as well as external organizations (vendors, utility companies, regulatory agencies).

                                                                                                                                Education & Experience


Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Linguistics, Computer Science or related field.  May consider additional experience in lieu of degree requirement.


Minimum of 3 years related work experience in an analytical or reporting capacity with solid exposure to BA/PM techniques.


Advanced technical proficiency to include:

  • MS Office Suite – Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint.  Highly advanced in Excel to include VBA, Macros, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, V-lookups, complex formulas and the importing of big data
  • Tableau
  • SQL/SSRS and query writing

Experience with Speech Analytics required – CallMiner Eureka strongly preferred.
