Gamification and Fun, Part 3: Using Analytics

    gaf3.jpg?a=1476214317357Our first video talked about why gamification matters.  The second talked about how to make sure your gamification programs are fun, but not too much fun. Today, let's talk a little bit about how you can make sure you're striking that balance.

     

    This can be tricky, as we cover in greater depth in the recent article on “Should Gamification Be Fun?".  But one of the key ways of monitoring success or failure in gamification is through the use of customer engagement analytics. With these analytics, you can see in much more granular detail what actions your users are taking. This can reveal connections that, in turn, demonstrate whether the established incentives are leading to the actions you want. If the answer is no, it's time to adjust.
